I am in the process of dismantleing a 301(from a 185) to build a new 3000 rpm turbo charged pulling engine. The crank and rods say Japan on them, Are these as good a parts as the older 1960's 301 components?

J.A.Pan Company rods were always stronger than ones that didn't say J.A.Pan on them.
