When I looked at the 35 at the auction the other day, I saw something that made me wonder...in the "trough" where the rollers go, there is a spring loaded "flap" that would
serve to apply downward pressure on the ear. But for what reason? I would think that
might be useful to help the husking roll grab the husks?
