Minus 32 here this morning, with 66 below wind chill. But hey, we are going to reach a high of minus 18 today. Thank God, this is going to be sort of a short lived cold snap.

Darrell and Alberta, I don't know how you tolerate such temps. Do you have any livestock and where do they go during that cold weather if you do have? Hope your weather warm soon. You make Ohio not sound so bad.

Yes, we have livestock. Be sure that they are out of the wind and fed well and have water to drink. Straw to bed down in. When you look at them, you wouldn't know it to be any different for them then when it's 20 above. They have the tolerance bred into them. They been out in it for hundreds of years. As for us humanoids, we spend a little more then most on Insulated overalls.

Finally got some snow on Friday - along with the cold , first time I even put plow on truck to plow church . Then 4 wheel drive went out AGAIN , front differential seems all the bolts came lose and case opened up .
For some reason I replaced it last year and that was for broken case where bolts came lose on right side casting to differential bolts flange coming lose .
To dang cold to even work on it in shop .
This getting old and cold weather just don't mix , and laying on the floor in shop working on a truck is getting hard also - to hard to get back up once down there .

Anything under -20 is considered Extreme Global Warming. Sorry but that's just an inconvenient truth.

40° here in south MS. Forecast low for tonight 18° and 16° tomorrow night. That’s cold for us. I know it’s nothing for some of the folks on here but cold for us. I spent 3 winters in ND so I do know a little about cold weather. I don’t see how you guys deal with it full time. Wishing the best for everyone.

Zero here this morning but the lake effect snow was pretty impressive. Three inches in a half an hour. Don't get the 30 below like you guys but would rather have it cold for the cows. Mud is hard on them . They seem to be healthy when its cold

We dont seem to get the snow too bad in the middle part of the state, the last 10 years.. Either goes north to Peoria- Chicago, or says south around St Louis... We do get the COLD..  About -5 the last few mornings, then +5 during the day... Dont like the COLD.. but dont miss that SNOW !

I have a 28 x 28 two bay work shop built into the hill side with 2 ft dirt on top.. Got two 9 ft bay doors on the front / insulated.. Stays 50 degrees in the winter and 75 in the summer.. Been working in there for the past 2 weeks !!   I bring in a small tractor / lawn mower / project and then spend  3-4 days on it... Then run em out and bring in another !  BIG UNS got to wait till March..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
