Hey again all!
   I am trying to get this WD in good working shape that I just purchased. Thought some of you might have had this same problem, but thought i would ask anyways for help.
 
When I press the foot clutch in, there is a looong travel all the way until I can't press anymore, the problem is the tranny won't hardly stop turning so I can get it into a gear. Is this just the clutch plate? Or could this be more than that?
I plan on cracking open the engine/ clutch area soon but thought I would ask before hand.

Also, how do I know if the pressure plate is worn out when I get to cracking it open? Are there wear marks I should be looking for?

There is an inspection hole on the bottom of the bellhousing.   Open that up and take a look inside and have someone push the clutch in and out.   There are three fingers that the throwout bearing pushes in to release the clutch.  On each one of them, there is a bolt with a lock nut, and by loosening the lock nut and turning the bolts in, the fingers come out and take some of the play out of your clutch pedal.   You might be able to do this and get some life out of the clutch that is still in there.   Just make sure that you adjust each one the same and then doublecheck to make sure they all hit the throwout bearing face at the same time.   I adjusted my dad's B once, and whoever was in there before, had them adjusted way out of wack.   Hope I explained things good enough.

Thanks chuck! I will look at that tonight and hopefully thats the problem. If I can just cure it 50% that would be good enough for me.

Don I have used a small wrench such as 3/8 as a feeler gauge to check the gap it should be about 1/4 in
