It looked really messed up to me but I couldn't figure out how much was just the front tires making it look funny.

True, those are spares used on the front wheels, but that loader is a #102 Henry used on the industrials D12's, just took one off mine and sold it, as I'm converting my D12 back to a farm tractor. It would be worth that price by a long shot if it has power steering, which it may with that loader on it??? Mine did...

"Sells for more than $10,000 restored!" (it'd sell for more than 10K unrestored if there was someone foolish enough to pay that much...)
and:

Hmmm... tractordata says:
D12 Serial Numbers:
Location: Torque housing
1959: 1001
1960: 1950
1961: 2801
1962: 3638

Lessee... that implies that 9830 minus 1001 must be 4072... yeah.
Everything is collectable... I collect orphaned wool socks- now, let's get down to real facts:
Does it run? What 'small things' does it need? What's the story on those front wheels and tires... does it burn oil, any coolant loss? Condition of rear tires, rusty fuel tank? Clutch slip? Loader bucket condition...
I don't think $2500 is an unreasonable figure, but someone needs some lessons in advertising.

Dave you must have a better market for restored tractors then there is around here. A Ford 800 serries around here might peak at $6500 restored. There aren't enough restored d serries tractors here to have a guess some fords and some IH both sell for Shor money compared to what was put into them. The market here is just really bad.

The loader looks like the L-99 loader (made by Henry for AC) that I have on my D-12. The bucket is either an optional light materials bucket or from some other source. The regular bucket for the L-99 is smaller.

I was being entirely facetious with respect to his advertising statement. Most guys that want a restored tractor, go find a good tractor, and restore it... because the whole point of restoring it, is that the challenge of accomplishing it, is the greatest point of value.

Dave I guess I read over that part of his add. I thought I was restoring my 15 because I had lost my mind.... glad to hear thir might be other reasons.
That guy is missing out he should toss a carb kit a set of points new front tires a can of paint and sell it "restored" a friend once told me be very careful of just restored tractors that are for sale there are alot of paint can restorations out there.
