I guess everyone's phone is different. I have an apple iPhone. I'm not sure which one. I email the picture to myself as someone else stated. When I click send an option box pops up and ask what size I want to send, small, medium, large, or actual size. I always pick medium, then I don't have to resize. However I do have to go into paint and resave them to my computer again, if I don't the pictures will be on their sides when I post them. I always use the tree icon to post them. I do go back from time to time and delete pics I feel are no longer important to save space. They say when you do this the pictures will no longer show up on your old threads. To me, this is not a big deal. Most threads die after a few days anyway. I used photo bucket when I first started posting pics, and it was always a big hassle. They still have a few dozen of my photos. As far as I'm concerned, they can keep them. They will never get any of my money.

If this will help, here is how I do it. I have a new Motorola Moto G5 Plus that takes many wonderful pics. After taking the pics, on a daily basis, I hook up to my PC with USB and they go directly to "MY PICTURES". You do have to go into your phone "Settings" and change the "Developer Options" to "Select USB Configuration" and then select PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol). This programs the phone to do two actions,,,(1) to charge the battery and (2) to transfer pics to PC. you then go to "My Pictures" on your PC and right click on the image and scroll down to "Open With" and click on "PAINT". It will bring up your pic in it's actual size, which is way too big,,so click on resize and click on "Pixels" and clear out the TOP actual pixel number and enter 450 and computer will automatically change the btm number. Click OK, then it shows you the pic in it's new size. Click on file and "Save As" and you're good to go. Once a week I will download all the pics in "My Pictures" to an external Hard drive for safekeeping. What this does is allows you "NOT" have to place your valuable pics in somebody elses "cloud" and then hold you for ransom at a later date. All your pics will be available to you at a moments notice, WHEN YOU want to look, make copies or whatever. Hope this helps,,,kinda long winded but safest method there is,,,,,,

I post photos from a Galaxy 6. ![]() Once I take a photo, I email it to myself, then drag it to the desktop on my Apple laptop. I then click on it to view it in Preview........which has the Tools option of sizing the photo. I downsize it from the enormous size of 72 inches to 10 inches, which downsizes the picture enough this site will accept it, and the photo is of a size that can be viewed in the whole without a lot of scrolling. The other option would be to go into the settings on your phone and greatly downsize the image size your phone takes, which is generally 10X or higher than you can view on the screen anyway. But one way or the other, you need to get the file size of the photo down about 10X less than most cameras take it as, at least if you want to post it here. The ONLY reason photobucket was ever needed is that a lot of forum sites did not have storage capacity for photos on the forum site. You had to store them elsewhere and create links to them to put a photo in a post. Thankfully, many sites now allow storage of them on the forum site, as this one does. Worse, I think if you read the fine print, once you post photos to places like Google or Yahoo, Facebook, etc, they think they have the same rights to the photos as you do. That may exist here too.

I did not too many days ago but I stumbled through it and figured out how to resize and then post. But to remember the procedure will require me to stumble through it all over again. PITA

I'm new to this forum thing, but what I do from my phone is upload them to imgur.com. Its pretty easier just create an account, login in, go on images, and then upload what you want. Then click on the picture and it will give you a list of links. I have found 'direct link' works. Copy whatever it says into the link box onto the forum 'insert image thing' - photos can come out really huge so you can then type in whatever size you want to make them smaller.Works for me, I hope this is of some help to you!
