I'm working on restoring a big ten, and I have reached a problem that is driving me insane! I can get the thing to run nice and smooth and idle and run up real nice, but my carburetor is leaking from the end with the press in button. When I turn the gas off of course it stops, but as long as the gas is on there is a constant drip. My float has been hot water tested and when I shake it I don't hear anything inside, the jet seats well I think, with the float up when I blow into the gas inlet I can't get any air through so I'm assuming its seating well. Maybe I'm wrong, is the re some kind of trick to these carbs that I'm missing? Where should I start and what should I do if that doesn't work. I've been working at this for two weeks and I just can't seem to get it, tha jd ahead guys!

Your float is still out of adjustment. Basically, it is not fully shutting off fuel flow to the bowl before it reaches the top. You need to bend the little tab that the needle valve attaches to up a little so that the needle valve fully seats when the float rises. The float should be flat level when the needle valve is fully seated which is what stops fuel flow to the bowl. I found the manual to be pretty good at showing this if you have one or perhaps even search on the internet. HTH
