I'am pretty sure they slide out. Should be a clamp on it where it slides out. Sometimes they will need to be heated to get them to move.

On a CA they slide out. On my 180 I adjusted the setting and I put Anti-Seize on the tie rods and that was a mistake. Could not keep them tight. I washed them off with gas and had to make the clamps very tight to make them hold.
