i recently picked up two front tires and rims off a farmall c to put on my 45. the idea being that the "c" tire and rim weigh only 14lbs whereas the 45's is 26lbs. well i wasnt lucky enough because they dont fit. the center is alittle too small and the bolt spacing isnt wide enough. they fit the Ca hubs perfectly. question is could i enlarge the pilot hole and bolt spacing to match or is it possible to swap ca front hubs onto the 45??
by using this combo the front of the tractor will be 3-4" lower.
thanks rob

I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out what you are trying to fix by going lighter and lower. Is this a 45 you pull with?

I found a pair of space saver tires/rims that fit nicely on my D12. Think they came off a full size Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac (not real sure tho). Took a front hub to the bone yard and tried it out on several before I found two that fit. Price was right (free). Maybe a pair of these (or from a different model car) would fit on a WD45?

yes greg i tried and foundout that the spacer saver tire from my 06 grand-prix GT fits fine . the space saver is still too heavey and taller then i like. im going to cut out the center of the cub rib and weld in a plate with the right sized holes. i might just get two space saver rims anyways and cut the centers out of them and use that.. save one step in the process

Take the hubs off the CA and put em on your puller. Then put the 45 wheels and hubs on the CA.
