Anyone know where I can find a left final drive shaft? Put mine back together and have .030 runout. bent getting brake drum off? seems a bit much. To clarify, this is the shaft coming out of transmission the brake is mounted on. I was going to put it together and use it, but the time I have in this I figure I better fix now before painted.

How did you measure the runout? The inboard end of the shaft is not bearing supported and aligns with the side gears in the differential. Unless you checked the shaft with it removed from the axle housing, are you positive it is bent? I have straighted sprint car drive shafts (you'd be amazed how much titanium flexes!!!). I would think you could straighten it in a press without much difficulty and some patience. Good luck.

There is no reason it couldn't be straightened. The shop i used to work in had farm repair stuff in all the time that we straightened. If you have a way to check runout you have half what you need to fix it. A small hydraulic press with a couple heavy vee blocks is the rest.

If you figure out your going to need one I've got a parts tractor I could take it out of. The value would be in the time and effort to remove it unless you want to come down to Amanda and help get it out. hehehehe

Checked the runout with diff. reassembled with all new bearings and end cap on. placed indicator with mag base on differential housing and indicator on splined end of shaft and turned, thus 0.030 runout. Bearings do not have excess slop.
It went in the transmission, am I looking at a repair earlier than needed if left as is. I don't have a press to fix it or would give it shot, may be able to find one or have it fixed. Took the right side off and the shaft is turned from splines back to brake. Where the left is casted or just really rusted down in that area. Newer I guess due to not having hand clutch. you have one of those wkpoor?

I've got 2 parts CAs in the driveway right now. I am planning on building a cultivating CA and a planting CA and neither one needs a hand clutch. Got a couple other ones also in various state of tear down. 5 all togther. So basically I might have what you need but I haven't removed any finals to see what condition those parts are in. I just know I've got parts.
