We are rebuilding my sons great grandfathers 1952 CA we split the tractor to put in a new clutch when we pulled the tractor apart the shaft in the torque tube pulled out to. what is wrong? we have to split it at the rear of the torque tube to to fix 3rd gear so we are going to split anyway bur what am i going to find? is there a pin or something that should hold that shaft in ? THANKS TOM

Yep, supposed to be a cotter key in the splined coupling.
