I have a C that sat for a couple of years it starts runs for a second and dies. Than it won't start again for awhile (an hour?). Than it does the same thing again. I change the condenser, cleaned and gapped the points, the plugs look good and cleaned out the old gas. It acts like as soon as I release the starter switch it shut off.
Thoughts? Thanks

Have you checked to see if there is spark after it stalls? That would be the first thing I would check.

Have you checked gas flow at the carburetor? Sometimes the sediment bowl inlet gets plugged up from debris from the tank over the years and restricts flow.

Sounds like your coil is bad... Got enough for an initial spark, then opens up inside... try a replacement.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Could also be a bad switch.  Heavy key rings are the death of 'em.  Do what WF owner says, test light and alligator clips are your friend...Wink
