I am working on tightening up my steering on our 1942 C. It looks like a majority of the slop is in the front pedestal. We took apart the front pedestal and all housing shims are removed. We ended up shimming the bevel gear up that mounts to the vertical shaft. The only shim we could find was too thick. So, now I am looking for some Pedestal housing shims to bring the pedestal back down.
Does anyone have any pedestal shims they would part with?

If you dont find any, you can make some using thin metal or beer cans.
