first, I always upload pictures into my 'file manager'....NOT ever direct from my PC.
then
select 'post reply', click on the 'green tree' icon, then select the picture from my list , resize to 640x480, OK...it's now in the 'reply', press enter to get to new line,then...click on the 'green tree' icon, then select the picture from my list , resize to 640x480, OK...it's now in the 'reply'.
This works for me, has for years...
