Working on my grandsons Big Ten garden tractor. Trying to find crankshaft, connecting rod, rings and gaskets for the briggs and stratton ten horse engine. Need the model number, type and code to look up parts on the briggs and stratton web site. Thanks

The code is unique to each engine, almost like a serial number. Most of the cast-iron engines will not look up properly on the B&S site. You can email them and they will send you the parts manual. Model # for the engine is 243431
Type # is 0123-01

The bad news is, almost none of that is available any more. The code info should all be stamped into your shroud. I have the parts manual in a pdf if you have no luck with briggs.
