The block heater in my F2 is not working how much work is involved to change it for a new one

the block heater has a tube that runs to the oil cooler on the other side. Order the heater - different than a 180-7000 - 74008014  about $280 - and the hose 74007937
 
only other option is to order a 70256705  at about $65 and carefully drill and tap for fitting and get another 74007937 u shape hose to patch in to the old tube you cut off the non workin heater.  ( you sure it is bad and not just the cord?) 
One can also connect the hose from the cooler into the block water drain tapped hole via fitting and adaptor and just use the 70256705.
Or order an add on tank type heater at just under $200.  BTW this is same as a 6080AC tractor.
 
So three methods - the correct but expensive way or the patch it up el cheapo way or the hangon method. Your call.

We had to change the water pump while the pump was off the heater was plug in no I am not sure about the cord it could not be that simple I just want to get everything put away for the winter
