Just by looking at my 13-6 24s on Stamped Steel D10 Wheels and 11x24 Jap rims compared to going up to 12-4 28s on any available combination of wheels and rims . Going to 28 rubber is going to add quite a bit to My CAs Total Weight.
When trying to make a 2500 pound puller out of my CA the 28 inch tires may make harder to do. I have time today to weigh one of my 13-6 24 combinations for a number after I get all the water out. Does anyone have a weight for a 28 tire, wheel and rim that will work on a CA? Most everyone agrees a 28 inch tire will outpull a 24 under most track conditions. Just for the sake of argument I have been outpulled by a bone stock CA on 11-2 24 rock hard weather checked rubber with chunks of cleats missing while I'm running stock on live rubber 13-6 24 Firestone F&R. My theory. The smaller tire dug a deeper hole down to hard packed track Plus the pounds per square inch of the footprint was greater with the smaller tire. Go Figure. I'm just glad this kid lost interest in pulling his CA where I pull.
