got to run the 220 this afternoon been awhile since its been run.put some air in the front tires up put some batteries in it and she fired right up

One thing about these old diesels....even after sitting for years they fire right up. I've got a few I need to "rotate the tires" on LOL!

eldon iv got a i think a 76 GMC 2 ton with a 453 detroit with a turbo. factory deal. and when we bought the guy out all i could see of the truck was the grill and bumper had horse rope and vines all over it.( we kinda trade on these square bodies) so we bought it and i crawled through all the junk put a chain on the bumper hooks and i got on a tractor and was guna pull it bout 10 foot so we could check it out better and it went about 3 foot and it cranked and went to pulling forward on its own with no one in the truck lucky it died. so we cleaned it out and pulled it again and it cranked and run perfect ... i bet i can go to ir now and it will crank in 2 foot
the truck had set there for 15 years

There has been more then one tractor that has saved itself in a shed fire when the cable or switch got hot enough to turn on the starter and the tractor was in gear and drove it's self out.

Never heard of that! Back to the big tractor! That is a awesome unit! I bet it rides real nice too! Thanks for posting the pictures. Was there a flag in there somewhere?:) Picture of the truck would be good too! Regards, Chris

Now that is a work truck!!! She knew she could do it herself and wanted to let you know she was ready. Great story glad no one got hurt.

ACd21, In the reply box, just above the text that you type in the box is a gray 'toolbar" area with an icon of the world sitting on a chain link. When you copy and paste a link in this reply box, left click and drag across the link to highlight it and then go up and click on the world icon. A window will open up, (it does on mine anyway), and you'll see an "ok" or "cancel" in that window. Click the "OK" button and that should make the link LIVE. Then, click in a blank spot in the reply box to take out the highlighted link. Like this CL ad for an F2 Gleaner in Purdy, MO.
