Best implement for making a round pen

   All,

My lovely bride has tasked me with making a round pen for her so that she can do ground work with her horses.  I have a nice level spot picked out.  Ground is a little bumpy and is currently just pasture grass with typical East Texas soil (more sandy than muddy, light red soil).  Question is what implement(s) do I want to use to prep/work the ground?  I'll be using the Series 1 D17 for the work.  Honestly, all I ever use the tractor for is mowing and pulling a hay wagon every now and then, so ground breaking a bit new to me.

	Disk it up a couple of times, then use a spring tooth to work the soil up nice. Have seen a few of the local horse people that use a spring tooth to keep the ground in their riding stables worked up.

	Build a stone boat out of planks and attach it behind the spring tooth or pull it alone every once in awhile. Makes a nice level and loose base.
