My wife, who likes to make quilts, says that unless a quilt is one that many people like, they are only worth about what the meteral is worth.

Make a quilt like my grandmother use to make and I'll pay far more then just what the material is worth. To me the pattern isn't as important as the comfort of the quilt. In the Old Country they were more concerned about function than form. Of course the artistic appearance adds value to me.
