I have a b112 with a 16hpBriggs in it with a 1inch shaft for the crank.  What size in diameter should be used to power front attachments ?   2nd question,  I have no power to pull my garden trailer espesially going up hill.  I tried several belts, Watched the drive system and nothing seems to be slipping so what am I missing.  I have this issue whenever going up a hill or towing our sprayer, wagon or spreader.

Thank you.

you cant beat that modal 32 briggs for power,   shaft is 1 inch for the snow blower  if the 16 has low power make sure somone has not put a flywheel on with the wrong ploarity i have seen done and it still runs but very poorly

Have you gone through the adjustments for the variable speed system in the service manual? These need to be adjusted periodically as the belt and linkages wear.

I have a B112 with variable speed.  Try taking you heel and pulling back toward you on clutch pedal.  See if this helps.  If it does, I would say ACmowerguy is right, check all rearend adjustments in manual.  Also, I replaced the belt on mine and it helped tremendously.  The pulleys move in and out to change diameter for speed change.  This really wears on the side of the belt.

Forgot to mention, check clutch return spring as well.  It could be weak.
