B110 plow questions

   I recently bought a b110 with the mower, tiller, and dozer blade. It was from the original owner. He still had the tractor and tiller manuals with receipts from purchase in 1968. Everything works and runs well. I dont have the mount for the blade. Not sure if it got lost (he was moving and I have no way of contacting him). Is there anyplace i can buy the mount? Does the blade and mount require a subframe or will it attach right under the front end?

	There is no separate mounting bracket for the front push blade. Two pins attach the blade to the tractor. See attached Video around the 3 minute mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgqYZLv2f3w

	Thanks. The blade i got is a little different. Its got 2 springs on the top of it but i think it would hook up the same way. The plow hitch i think he called it is what im looking for.

	Yeah, the video above shows the snow plow, not the dozer blade like you and I have. The video also shows the plow in 2 pieces. The yellow frame he has in front of the tractor IS the plow mount/hitch or whatever you choose to call it. Normally, it is kept together in 1 piece. Maybe that hitch can be used for other front mount implements-I really don't know because like you I only have a tiller,mower, and dozer blade with my B110 too. What I do know is that type hitch will NOT work on the dozer blade. The hitch for the dozer blade is the same on the tractor side but totally different on the blade end due to the way that the whole manual angle adjustment mechanism is set up on the dozer blade which the snow plow lacks altogether. There are also videos on youtube specifically for the dozer blade setup. If you take the mounting frame off the dozer blade, it messes up the spring loaded mechanism of the angle adjustment and it is a pain to get back together correctly-trust me. There is no reason to separate the dozer blade from the mounting frame unless you need to fix the adjustment mechanism.

	Thank you. I found one like in the video on ebay. Was planning on ordering it this morning. Not sure why it was originally separated from the blade. I will try to find a video showing what i need so i at least know what to look for. Thanks again

	Sorry, I must apologize for I had the 2 blades backwards. The blade in the video that was posted is the dozer blade. The blade that you and I have with the 2 springs on it is the snow plow. I get confused because the snow plow is actually heavier and more rugged looking than the dozer blade, at least to me anyway. I have to remind myself that the springs are what makes the difference. The snow plow is designed to trip forward and then ride over anything hard that it hits other than snow. The springs are what allow for this and then the spring tension pulls the blade back upright after it has cleared the hard object. The dozer blade is fixed solid which means that it will not do this and actually will just dig in harder when you hit something hard. One thing I really miss about the JD 210 that I had with a JD blade was that the JD blade was dual purpose. It had a dual spring trip mechanism just like the AC blade for use as a snowplow but it also had a locking pin mechanism designed into it as well that once locked into position disabled the trip mechanism so you could use it as a heavy dozer blade too. That thing pushed a lot of dirt,rocks,etc around just as well as it did snow.

	Google AC B110 snow plow or search for the same on youtube and you should get a pretty good idea of what you should be looking for. The blades were made for many years across a wide range of tractor models from the B1 up to the B212-all same blade and identical mounting. Also Simplicity tractors such as 3010,3210,etc. Check out the website simpletractors.com It is an awesome website with lots of information about AC and matching Simplicity models AND attachments too.
