Happy New Year all. I'm having a problem with my 1940 Allis B steering wheel.
I put a new wheel on this fall, and tightened down the center nut. I thought things were all well and good until the wheel started spinning loosely. I re-tightened it and the same problem keeps occurring. I'm wondering, should I add a lock-nut under the center nut and will that correct this issue? Or is there something else here I'm missing? Any thoughts and help would be appreciated.

The end of the shaft is tapered and has a keyway. Did you lose the half moon key?

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

I'm pretty sure that the key way is there. Now I'm questioning my
memory. I'll check that. Thanks!
