Has any one ever attemted to build a cab for a B It has to look good im not talking pvc and a trap.it gets cold out there plowing this idea has been in the back of my mind now for awhile.I know it will take some doing plus it would have to be removable.Or is there a soft cab that can be used off another ac any pics or input would be helpful.

Old guy up the road from me put a small factory cab on a C and it looks cute, awkward to get into however. He is in the nursing home now and the C is stored till "later" or id try to get a picture of it Mark

Are there heat housers available for it?
I know you can get them for some of the other rigs.

get a heat houser from a Farmall Super C (IH windbreaker) and "fab-to-fit" to your B r find a cab off a Allis lawn tractor and try that. Also contact these guys. These guys used to make cabs and "half cabs" for AC. Give them a call:

There is a guy down the road from here that has an IB with a full cab and a heater. I could call him and try to get some pictures for you of it. Will give me an excuse to stop by and visit.

mark i assume you get on a c the same way a b do you recall how that area was done thats the area i cant seem to come up with a decent plan

The IB cab had a door on the back of it to get into. I would think you could do something similar on a B, but you would have to have a monroe seat on it, and get rid of the bench seat or at least take off the backrest and make the rest part of the door so you have something to rest against, when the door's closed. I know of a junk B sitting down the road from my parents that has a really nice set of early B weights, chains and a snow plow on it. I have been trying to persuade the owner to sell it to me. Would make a great snow rig. Then I would make a cab with a heater, windshield wiper, and a radio. Hey a guy can dream right?

This may be the one that Chuck's referring to. It has a heater as I recall, and belongs to Roger Pagel that visits this forum.

Just a thought. The way I get on the C is by stepping up on the final, then stepping over to the tranny housing. You could put the door on the left side, with the bottom of the openning just above the top of the fender. Mount a grab handle just inside the cab and over the door. That way you could step up, open the door, grab the handle, step in, then swing yourself on down into the seat. Getting out would be a reverse. Modifying the seat to a Monroe-matic and having a flat floor pan would be even better, though the bench seat would give you a little more room to move around once you got in. Mount yourself a heater and a radio in there, and you're in business. I have a friend who built a cab for a little compact tractor. This was before they offered a lot of the compacts with cabs. He did all the sheet metal work himself. Installed heat, AC, and a radio. Even had an interior light. Almost couldn't tell it wasn't factory made.
