B belly mower questions

I recently bought a 1949 B wide front with a belly mower for $550. I'm not sure what make the mower is, but it has been poorly added onto the tractor. I have found a Woods manual that shows how the belly's were mounted to the B, C, & CA. My questions and concerns are easy I believe, but I want to get this right before I need it and I have to back up. First concern is that the prior owner had the main drive belt running off of the rear PTO output not the side as Woods shows. My plan is to correct and go back to the side if I can locate a pulley. My question on that is are both tension pulleys V or should one be flat? Second question. Woods also shows the lift cylinder and bracket going to the front with a triangle to lift the mower. My cylinder goes to the rear for rear mount attachments. There is an additional arm now going down to a rod that goes forward. All of my deck lift is mounted to the tractor itself. So as the rod pulls one arm, a second arm pulls the chains up. Has anyone seen this setup? Lastly, the mower us set up so the V of the deck is facing toward the front of the tractor. Every one I see on line is set up the other way with the flat front and V to the back. Will this make a difference. Thanks for the input

All the pulleys on a woods are v belt pulleys. That is not a woods deck.it actually looks to be a shop made unit.

I don't think it is Woods either. Woods don't have caster wheels that nice. We have a Woods on the D15 II and a C. The D15 has a big pulley that bolts onto the PTO shaft. The C drives off of the belt pulley shaft.

Woods mowers have the flat side to the front.   This one seems to be made differently.  The wheels are needed in the front to keep the mower from scraping.  

Looks like a Woods 59 or L59 put on backwards with a lot of customization.

Would it be beneficial if I turned it around? The pieces that hold the casters is just angle iron that is bolted on. I could unbolt and rotate it. That would put my main drive belt closer to the PTO drive or do you think it will make any difference?

I don't think turning it around will make any differance. The leading edge looks to be straight down we can't see the trailing edge in you photo. The woods decks are designed to be used with the end plates installed. The leading edge bends under and the side plates contain the clippings so they get cut a couple times and the trailing edge flails back to spread the clippings over the entire width behind. That is why a woods finish mower leaves such a nice cut. Your mower mounts under the tractor and has three blades those are its only similarity so to a woods. Your mower looks to be made to install the way you have it. Moving your main pulley rearward will shorten the distance you have to make the belt direction change and twist. The longer distance you have to accomplish that the better chance you have of making it work.
