can you use silicone between the final drive and the differential on a b allis there wasn,t any gasket just a shim between the differential carrier bearing housing and the case also between final drive and the bearing housing

It isn't necessary if you replace the inner axle seal. It should be dry between the final drive assembly and tranny. So silicone in there would just make it more difficult to disassemble next time.
