There was an auction sale day before yesterday here in my neck of the woods. A big farmer selling out, but one of his neighbors consigned three Allis tractors to it. A 7020 with dual 3100 loader brought little over 7 grand. A one ninety XT diesel, factory 3 pt, factory installed stolper cab with factory air, but needed an engine rebuild brought $6,500. And a D14 painted all wrong brought 3 grand. Was anyone from on the forum here up here buying.......? Darrel

I thought that stuff sold good. Auctions seem to be hit and miss. Last summer, an auctioneer/friend had a sale with a dandy looking 7020 on it; no loader. I had to be out in Washington for my son's wedding at the time. I thought it would take a minimum of 5K to bring that one home. I wanted to leave a "just in case" bid of 2,500 with the auctioneer, but felt it wasn't worth the effort, because bidding would start higher than that. The thing barely brought two grand, and he said he had to squeeze the last two bidders very hard to even get that. I cried like a baby. Owner let it go. Said a few things wrong with it, but nothing worse than a bum tooth. Darrel
