Found lit on Half tracks for wd thru d-17 Was wondering is anyone had any experience with them?? The lit claims up to 488% traction increase. The cost was from 452.00 to 527.00

Here is my 1954 WD45 with AARPs, I've never used them to their full potential but you can sure go over soft ground with them.

are those hydraulically loaded? On the WD45, I see a cylinder of some kind on the far side on the subframe.
If so, how is that done; is it pressurized "live" or pumped up and a valve closed ?

It looks like a hyd. cylinder but there is actually a big spring inside there for adjusting tension.
