Just picked up a Ariens GT16 was said to have bad oil leak on the K341 -
Pulled the front clutch for mower and the pan gasket (cork) is hanging partially out of split between lower pan casting and block casting. Also the red silicone goo shows up nice where someone used it  ! Every time i see this used it's like learn how to coat a gasket , thick bead is not needed and let it dry skim first before tightening down.
So now to pull engine from frame and replace the gasket .
Full tractor with 54" mower deck , 2 stage snow blower , 100 pounds of wheel weights, chains and good tires was $300 .
So now i have 4 of these tractors , 1 repowered with Honda 18 HP , one with Briggs 16 HP opposed , this one with 16 HP Kohler - one still set up for 16 HP Kohler to be rebuilt.
Well 3 are New Holland S16 units made before Ariens bought the line from NH
3 with Sunstrand units / 1 with Vickers hydrostatic drive .
Now i just need to find the drive pulley set up for the PTO to mount my tiller - seems daughter in law tried tilling a garden and lost the pin from top link and destroyed the pulleys that ran the tiller .

Stopped at a Kohler small engine dealer to get a gasket - AH the I can't look it up unless you give me the Spec # of engine .
OK - it's a K341 General Service engine with the pan gasket with the indents on corners / not the rectangle gasket - used on Ariens and New Holland - deep pan base - no do not have spec # with me .
After about 4 minutes on computer - yes we can get it - will need to order in and will have in about a week or 2 . E-bay has them for $ 4 to $ 7 and $2 for shipping and 2 day delivery they say .
Hmm roll of gasket material, pair of scissors or flat faced hammer and I can cut one in less time than a Kohler dealer can look it up.
