This is how people loose their lives. To me this is not something to enjoy. If you want pictures of tractors with front ends in the air, go to a tractor pull where they have safty equipment not to the timber. MACK

My foot slipped off the clutch when I had an ED-40 in 3rd gear and a trailer full of firewood on the back. Scared the hell out of me when that front lifted up. Luckily my initial reaction was to push the clutch back in. I don't want it coming up during a pull either, go to far and it'll flip back, to fine of a line.

I had to help sell the estate of a friend that had a B that would do wheelies. They found him dead in the field with the tractor standing on the drawbar.
No thanks. Leave the stupid stuff for somone else. JimD

Do you know how it happened? Did he hit a stump or bounce up from a groundhog hole?

I almost rolled a 17 while mowing a set aside field. The uphill rear wheel hit a groundhog hole and came up. Put my foot on the downhill final drive and knocked it down with my shoulder on the fender. Still get the willys from that and it was 25 yes ago. My grandpa almost rolled a new Holland combine on the same hill.

Most people who have done this are too busy cleaning out their pants to look for the camera.

I'm with JimD and Mack. I lost a good friend that was killed when a 8N flipped back over on top of him. I personally do not take this topic lightly.

no harm intended sorry for the lost ones i just remembered story's i have heard about old timers like my grandpa who's passed now out in the field plowing with a 2 bottom trip plow and a hot wc with a le roy engine and supposedly he would put it in the ground at one end and steer with the brakes to the other. dad was the same way i watched him on his d 14 pulling three 14's across the field and that front end was never on the ground i have had it come up when i helped him pull a huge rock out of the field we hooked the wd to the rock then the wd 45 to the wd and the wd45 to the 175 and it still was a challenge to get it out. I am usually with all you and push the clutch in right away to stop it from coming up but i suppose the only legit spot to see this with safety is the tractor pulls. no harm intended and sorry if anyone was offended i know what it is like to have a loss of a loved one. I did not mean for anyone to put them selves in danger. To change this whole thin around does anyone have any old time photos from the early 70's and beyond of the allis's out in the field working back when they were new or first time on the farm photos of new tractors that would be cool to see.

my freind was going to sell his john deere d.. so he took his mt and pulled it backwards and had the buyer on the d.. he told the buyer that he would pull it backwards to get it lined up and then he would pull it from the front so he could hear the compression.. well the retarded buyer put the d in forward gear while he was getting pulled backwards and then let out the clutch.. that mt went up fast and my freind went off the back broke his arm in 3 places and almost killed him...
i do wheelies on tractors all the time at work.. recently i was pulling a wc and the steering colum was broke so i had to lift it up with the 3 pt boom.. my front wheels were a foot in the air for about 500 yards, but i had my foot covering the clutch the whole time and the tractor had a roll bar. but it was still dangerous..

[TUBE]MaSVi6eONyk[/TUBE] Here is what happens when people do dumb things with machines...luckily this guy walked away. I almost lost my brother 16 years ago. He wasn't doing wheelies or goofing around like these imbeciles. Him and my dad were dumping rocks in a ditch when some ground gave way and the tire went in and the whole tractor rolled over on him, with no cab mind you. He didn't have a chance to jump off it went so fast. Tractor fender pinned one of his arms and his other one was free. He turned the tractor off quick (as he was pinned under) and then passed out. Dad came running back and found the tractor flipped over on him and braced for the worse. If my brother's head would have been 5 inched over...it would have been crushed like a melon. Emergency crew came and got him out. He walked away with a broken wrist and a small oil burn on his stomach. I almost lost my brother that day, but thank God he is still with us.Doing wheelies and other stupid things with machines doesn't make you look smart and awesome...it makes you look stupid. It only takes 1 mistake and then you end up in a wood box 6 feet under. Play it safe when you are using any type of machinery and encourage others to do the same.

At one time the Wisconsin ZFarm Progress days had saftey demonstrations in which they had an Allis Wc and JD A b or something with appropriate roll over hardware and rope controls Early 70's and to demonostrate the dangers and speed of an accident they would tip the Allis over back ward and the JD side ways by dropping a block in front of the rear wheel as the tractor turned in a circle. It would really be neat and good safety awareness if somebody had a movie of them doing it. I think it was the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture that had them. I made sure my boys saw all they did and how quickly it happened. Tractorman. ( we all have had those close calls some lucky ones live to tell.

Many years agoe I pulled some logs with Farmall 230, narrow front. Anytime I was pullin the front was pointed up, steerin with brakes. I just made sure I had the back blade on or something so I didn't flip. Wish I had pics of that, it was a gas. Crazy me, back then I thought it was normal.

Way back when my grandfather didn't come in for lunch grandma went looking for him. She found him pinned under his tractor still alive but stuck. She took a shovel and pried the tractor up with one arm and pulled him out with the other. Talk about adrenaline !!!

Allismanamp you are asking people to do dangerous things for the thrill if it. Most of us are smart enough not to do it. Hope you live long enough to get older and wiser.
