Had the spare tire for my 2018 GMC pickup out the other day and what did I see? Stamped on the rim was the word "CHINA" plain as day. What a revolting development. I'm afraid to look at the rest of the rims. Wonder what else is not made in the USA on my made in the USA truck.

---------------

The list ranks trucks and SUVs based on how much American-made content they contain. Topping the list overall, with 80 percent of their parts made domestically, is the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans. The Ford F-150 contains the greatest number of American-made parts for a pickup truck, with 75 percent of them coming from within the country. The most American SUV is the Jeep Wrangler, at 73 percent, with the General’s Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia close behind at 72 percent.

The Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins rank low on the list compared to other pickups, with 40 percent of their parts being made in America. This is bested by nearly all of GM’s competitors, including Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Ram.

well.... if it's a steel rim, odds are real good the scrap used to make the steel came from here...... so 'kinda' made in USA
I KNOW the upper rad hoses for Dodge PUs are Made in CHINA, it says so !
What's sad is the thousands of small parts manufacturing shops shutdown in the USA and Canada.....

Helped install some of those Quality Chinese Cat Knockoffs Cat sells under the Classic Parts moniker, J U N K JUNK. Fit up was bad, specs were NOT even close, took some adjustment to get many engine parts installable then lasted less than two years LIGHT Service.

Is not just the ecomy line with the Classic in the name from what I understand.

But  they may get better, at least some do. One time Wink "made in Japan" was as low as you could go. Not so much anymore.

there's good and bad from anywhere ,NOT just China...
I have a 9HP Honda clone, Made in China, and the carb fit a true Honda 100%, and a reduction unit bolted on silky smoooth.....
I've also had a 350SBC hanging from an engine hoist forover 18 months and it never sagged....
