Too many people think it has to be shiny to sell. If they only knew how much more it could be worth in original condition and they could have spared themselves the time and expensense putting on those Sh*tty paint jobs.

Looks better than the 8N I owned once that was painted white with white house paint, the kind that powders off to stay clean. I kept it a few years, put new wiring, rebuilt starter, and new tires on it and sold it for more than I had in it including the repairs.

If they did a half decent job of prepping it at least the repaint would be easier. Wonder what the guy who um... did that to it, would think if he saw it a week later in the proper red and gray paint sceme?

It hadn't rusted yet when I sold it, though I had worked on the grill for the air filter intake and had painted it with liquid galvanize for better preservation. The fellow who bought it, bought it to mow with, not to display at shows. I didn't keep track of it.

People that detail for retail never do a good job. Why would they? Its going down the road.
