I was looking around on the internet and found all of these pictures of these AC tractors in this one movie called At Close Range. Has anybody seen this?

What other movies have you guys seen AC's in?

Pics from the movie.

An AC filled IH dealership.

That is weird. I think it's actually an AC dealership with a bogus IH sign fastened on the outside of the building. Look at the top picture. Inside the building through the window you can see that AC compact / lawn tractor on the showroom floor. Then, further down the group of pictures, you can see a close-up of that same compact tractor with the AC parts sign and maybe an AC clock on the wall.

Why would the stupid movie producers install a bogus IH sign on the outside on what  is actually an AC dealership? Idiots.

The movie was made in 1986.

After a second look at the pictures I reckon it was Sean Penn who starred in it.

Wasn't it a Gleaner combine overturned by a tornado in "Country"?

Yes it was a Gleaner overturned.  I thought I saw a 190 or 200 cab tractor in the auction too.

This movie was filmed at an IH/AC dealership in Franklin Tennessee owned by Ronny Hill, which is now Farm Sales and Service in Eagleville TN. He sold lots of AC tractors and still trades on them, he has several restored. He is the owner of 1 of 2 220 Military edition tractors.

I remember watching a movie a long time ago that had 2 or 3 190xt's working a field as a cover for a nuclear missile site or something on that order. It was set in the 60's and I think the movie was made in the 60's but I can't remember a thing else about it. Does anyone know what movie I might be thinking of?

Local station just showed "At Close Range" this last weekend.  Think it may have had several time slots as the station tends to repeat movies during the weekend.

Justin Moore's Music Video for "Back That Thing Up" features a D-19 quite a few times through out the music video. Glad to know theres at least one country music star who knows what good equipment is!

Country was filmed near Dunkerton Ia. Back then I worked at a small farm store in Jesup. Kind of unusual for orange in that area. JD's main tractor plant is just a few miles away, N.E. Black Hawk and Buchanan counties were an Oliver stronghold. I always saw lots of both green and IH then. What's kind of interesting is in the scene where they pan through the auction crowd, at least half of the guys were regulars I knew at B&B. The auctioneer was Conrad Doan, a well known auctioneer from the area.

There is a movie called The Notebook with James Garner. I do beleivbe there was a model B or C in that film. A couple scenes at a farm house, you could just barely make it out.

The Road To Perdition. The kid almost hits what looks to be a model U. It's kinda hard to tell because I had to pause and zoom on the DVD, but Grumpy Old Men has what I think is a B pulling an ice fishing shanty.

I love this question. 2 more maybes are the Green Mile and Ferris Buellers Day Off. In the Green Mile while Tom Hanks in talking to Gary Sinise on the porch, out in the grass is what could be a model U and in Ferris Bueller, look outside as the kids are in the garage just before the car goes out the back and down the hill. Is that an AC plow across the way?
