Any recommendations on which of the Allis planters makes the best candidates for two or three row mounted units for food plots or large gardens?

78 series,  but have the blower.  The seed discs will plant ungraded seed corn and sweet corn with ex small or small  or med small corn plates - beans with soybean or cotton discs or there are milo plates ..  Any air system that will provide 2 wc " of pressure.  You can get a blower - if the air planter ones are bad through NAPA sr1291 or pm357 . The issue is seed plates and non graded seed corn - with plate units it is hard to plant corn w/o skips and doubles.   For light seed like sweet corn cut a heavy cardboard or plywood cap to place in the bottom of the hopper to keep air from blowing seed up when almost empty. You will also have to have a selection of sprockets as in 8 10 12 14 18 to come close to the setting  you need.
You ask for 'best' - any of the others will work ..

When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..

I was thinking something a bit simpler. Like a 333 or ????

Straight press wheel driven with a variety of seed plates?

There was a thread about these planters a year or so ago, but now can't find it. Seems to me the gist of it was yields accomplished using that planter were at the top of the charts.
