Can anyone help with replacement needle bearings and thrust washers for the intermediate clutch shaft on the Allis G?
A couple of years ago, I replaced the needles bearing with Torrington B-1612. As I recall, that number was on the bearings I removed. However, the 1" outside diameter was too large to press into the gear. Ended up having the gear machined to accept the B-1612 bearing.

C
CORRECTION--  The Torrington bearing OD is 1-1/4" OD, not 1".
As I recall, the gear bore was only machined 0.002 or 0.003" to meet the bearing manufacturer's specs.

When I had my Willys 4WD pickup I did a 'mod' to the middle gear of the 'noisy' transfer case. It HAD a zilion needle bearings.'fun' to replace. The cure was to replace them with a couple roller bearings. I recall there was a minor machining needed and $10 for the Made in USA bearings( 1978ish). Once done, installed went for test drive.... I could talk in the cab ! No more shouting !
It should be possibel to do the same, only need 3 number OD,ID, W and  search forbearinng(s) to fill the void.
