    Posted: 26 Sep 2017 at 7:53pm

I recently purchased a AC threshing machine. I was there today picking up some other items and looked it over. It is a 22 inch.

Is the serial number the one in front of the clean grain elevator? If that is it, it reads 37222. What year is it?

I need to remove the back wheels to get it lower for hauling. If I remove the screw on cap on the wheel, what holds the wheel on the axle skein? Is it a big nut, or is there a pin in the outer end?

They didn't put the decal that tells how to adjust the sieves in a very good spot - right where the straw and chaff falls into the blower. Anyone have a picture of one you can still read?

Does anyone have an owner's manual I can buy or copy?

I would say it is a mid 1930's as they bought out another threshing machine company in the 30's  and assembled the remaining parts and painted then orange. Allis never manufactured a threshing machine.

Thats the nicest one I've seen. Gary Agrimson member of the Upper Midwest AC Club runs a couple of them at the Orange Spectacular every july.  Im sure he can answer your Questions. Also Arlend Lepper from Iowa has the Allcrop museum and he has one .

You shouldn’t have to remove the wheels to move it
If you have something lower then 13 9 then find another route

Great looking Thresher.  There was/is a guy in Kansas I believe that was doing a registry on the A-C threshers.  I don't think the 37222 is your serial # .  Mine was stamped in the frame up by the feeder housing by a pulley.  I called him while I was searching for the # and he helped me locate mine.  Mine is at the MRVSEA showgrounds , and the next time I get there I will look for my # and call you.

Hello Bryan - The one in the pictures in the start of the thread is Wise Bros machine, and is sitting here at our shop along I-70 waiting for our new shed to be finished.  We have a nice new red iron shed laying here on pallets, but that doesn't protect anything from the elements until it is all stood up!
