I stayed up late Saturday night to watch an old episode of Perry Mason entitled, " The Case of the Difficult Detour."  There were several clips at the beginning of the show of construction equipment preparing land.  For some reason after the show was over I happened to watch the credits and at the very end was a big slide that said, "Machinery, Courtesy of Allis-Chalmers Construction Equipment."  Sorry, I didn't pay that much attention to what models were being shown at the beginning of the episode.  Anyway, wanted to share this bit of trivia to see if anyone was familiar with this episode or what relationship the construction division might have had with hollywood back then.  If you are or were a Perry Mason fan, hope you enjoyed this.  Thanks in advance!

That PM episode has been on MeTV a few times in the last years. They show them consecutively five times a week from 9:00 to 10:00 Eastern. As soon as they show the last episode, they start over.

Check out the 1959 movie “The Dating Game” with Debbie Reynolds. It has several scenes with a brand new D-14. I believe that the tires were even waxed.
It's the color tractor my grandpa had!

Close sparky, it was the "The Mating Game".  Tried finding a clip of the movie showing the tractor, but no luck
Normally don't care for Tony Randall, but he was pretty good in this one.

I think it's a 7050 on an episode of Barnaby Jones. They covered the name and model with duct tape. I assume for liability purposes since the tractor was thought to have jumped into gear by itself and ran over the farmer. Of course they found the bad guy that put it in gear.

Thanks Steve for doing all the heavy lifting on researching the 3 different Makes and Models that were featured on the Perry Mason show I watched so late at night.  Also great to know that it was before the agreement with Fiat and that all featured machines were pure Allis-Chalmers.  Really appreciate it!

I did sneak a quick peak at Angie. I confess. It is Brainwash, Season 3 episode 6 if you want to see the machine working.

One of the P. M. Shows had an Allis Dozer maybe an HD20 or HD16. I hadn't seen it for several years.
