Was wonder what size sprockets (number of teeth) used on 72 planter unit for planting soybeans. I want to plant 150,000 to 175,000 pop.

Joe....I tried to PM you that I have a 70 series book that you had asked about.  Your PM was full.  This is a 70 Series book and as I understand it, covers the 71/72/73/74 planters. The only difference is the type/size of box and either a runner or disc opener?  Has all the charts in it.....Dale

I just rebuilt a model 300 with 2 #72 units.  I'm having trouble getting enough fertilizer to drop work throught the fertilizer gear.  I have it adjusted as far as I can, but it seems to be grinding the fertilzer and not much is dropping through the tube.
Any modifications I can do?
