I bought a Allis 7000 Black Belly. I have a maroon one and get along ok with it. Anyways, owner lost hydraulics one day, had the hydraulic pump rebuilt and it worked for a day or so and lost hydraulics. Clean fluid no metal and new hydraulic filter. I found if I tie a remote (doesn’t matter which one) I have steering, Transmission, power shift and brakes. When I push PTO lever forward it doesn’t engage and the lever will not stay forward. Assuming there is not hydraulic fluid in the valve body for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you may have a hole in a section of the pump allowing oil from one section to bypass to remote section. MACK

I found that if I have the 3pt remote tied back everything works. PTO works but I haven’t put it on a swather or anything yet. Still most likely a pump issue? I had good stream of fluid come from each line on the pump.

I'd have to look at a manual, but I think it has a 2 section pump, 1 section is the traction booster (very small output) and the other is the trans/steering/hydraulics. It was controlled by the priority valve that would give priority to the trans/steering cricuit first, then the hydraulics. I don't have my manual in front of me, but I want to think it is the spool behind the biggest hex plugs on the pump. Maybe someone can verify for me. If not, I can try to scan the pages of the service manual to you. I'm thinking the priority valve is stuck open to the remote hydraulic port. When you activate a remote, you are dead-heading against the relief valve, which allows fluid to bypass into the transmission/steering section. This is all speculation without seeing my manual and the flow diagram through that pump. Do you have decent remote function at lower RPMs? If the priority valve is working, usually a 7000 won't put out much flow or pressure from the remotes until you get around 13-1500 rpms.

Would I be able to switch spools out to test? Do you have a operators manual or a parts manual? I’m about to order one now that I’m back at my computer
