Hello everyone. I've always had a penchant for "forum knowledge" and it's never let me down before, so, here I am again. An Allis 190xt tractor with a GB800 loader jumped on my trailer & followed me home. It started easy, steers and runs strong, but, I've got some questions/concerns about the hydraulics on this ole pig. First off, the "sticking flat-spot" in the controls, is a pain in the arse (to me.) With that being said, after getting a full bucket if dirt, she acted line she was struggling to lift it. The bucket tilt (remote 2) seems to work okay even though it only cycles before the "flat spot" in the control lever. If you push it past that, it just kind of lags where is at. I suspect the control levers have been adjusted and need adjusted to my use/needs. Every hand valve I've every played with has a pressure adjustment screw on one of the ends. On this ole 190, it seems that all of the screws have been removed and filled with silicone or something of the sort. I'll try to post a picture of what I'm talking about. So, I guess what I'm asking is: Is there a way to increase/decrease the pressures to remote 1&2. If so, how? Thanks;

Also, down at the hydraulic linkage, this is unhooked. I believe this goes to the "3 point down" but I could be awfully wrong. I guess I'll ask, does this need to be connected? If so, how please?

The adjustments in back only changes the pressure of the self canceling to kick lever off. There is a pressure adjustment, but don't play with it unless you have a pressure gauge hooked up. MACK

I'm not sure what you mean by "flat spots". If you mean the detent at the end of the lever forward movement, that is the float position. There is also the self canceling detent as Mack mentioned.
The linkage is for the draft and position control.

Joe,
What I mean is when the lever is pushed forward, it clicks & stays in that position. It would be the detent. Where's a good place to "tee" in a pressure gauge so I can see what's goin on? |

Plug a gauge in one of the remote outlets. They all operate off the same relief valve. MACK

Mack How would I put in a control unit for a loader without using the remotes? I tried series and parallel and I can't get full pressure unless I engage a remote? Any help would be greatly appreciated. L

You need a valve with power beyond. Come out of biggest pressure line out of pump to in port of loader valve. From power beyond port to line you just unhooked. Valve should have a return port. Run a line from return port to sump of tractor. MACK

Thank you Mack, The challenge that I have is getting fluid to the compensator so that I get full pressure. If I put the valve in parallel I can open a remote valve and get full pressure as long as I manually hold it open. If I put it in series with the power beyond fitting it won't allow fluid through while the valve is open, and thus I never get full pressure. If it means anything the valve is a HCI Prince RD5200 with a single joystick. But again I need to figure out how to get fluid down to the compensator so that the pump will put out full pressure when I use the joystick. Thank you again MACK |

A 190 is a open center system, so don't use a compensator. MACK

Series 4 D-17's, 170's thru 220's are all open center hydraulic systems, as is the 7000. 7010's and up are variable flow/pressure compensated. Silver Bullet needs to have an "OPEN CENTER--POWER BEYOND" hydraulic valve. All the pumps oil flows thru this OC--PB valve first and then on to the tractors valve stack. The tractors hyd valves will work just like they did before when plumbed correctly.

Thank you DR. Allis How do I plumb this properly? If I use the power beyond set up there is no oil running beyond when I use the joystick to move the spool. How do I get oil to the compensator? My current plumbing is as follows: Line from pump to RD5200 RD5200 outlet to sump line RD5200 power beyond to main input The RD 5200 current set up: a no relief, relief plug HCI Prince Power beyond assembly Joystick Thank you for your time and input Dr.Allis |

Dr. Allis I feel that I failed to mention that I have a AC 7045. |

That would make a very big difference in how people respond to a post that started out about a 190XT. I've never attempted what you are doing, but I assume the signal line at the valve stack or pump compensator will have to have a "tee" installed and from the tee connect a hose to your signal port on your additional valve.
