I was carrying the plastic bags of wheat in there when I went out to the school garden. I was using the D14, which I had just added hydraulic fluid to because it was low. Well evidently it thinned out the oil that was in there and the rear lift cylinder or hose leaked down as I was headed to the area where I was going to plant the wheat. This drill is the one that has the sc option and drives off of the drill wheels....well it started driving when it lowered to the ground, and the fingers in the cup grabbed the plastic bag and started wrapping up the plastic until all hell broke loose. This cup was destroyed, the rivets were popped off of a couple more. It will be a winter project to change them out...and I only want to do it once. Thanks for the offer....but I think I will wait for someone that has parts to sell.

Eldon,
Come winter if you are still in need let me know. I have some on hand I was saving for a complete rebuild on my grain drill. I would have to dig them out and count to see if I have any extra I could spare.

One other idea, I had a seed case on my grass seeder get snapped and my local machine shop was able to weld it back together. I didn't look the prettiest but so far has held up. I would have to ask them what procedure they used as they do a lot of out of the ordinary work there. |
