Looks like Fat Allis gets to come BACK up the hill and work at the house.  Been floundering on a closer to the house garden site and kept getting into Rock, BIG Rock like some 5" square others 18-20" across and 2-4" thing 6-8" wide buried at varied depth then ran into red crap clay.  Fill from house dig spoil and I did NOT put it there.

Fat Allis laid down on me when went to backfill what I had dug out, was running out of off days at work, had a series of catastrophic failures of hoses and other needs on the old gal so with a contractor and a Deere 555G on site for the Ground Source system I added backfill to the bill went back to work with the understanding that the BAD Spoil would be used around the foundation to use it up and at the location of the next build the Garage, the 'Good' spoil of Clean Dirt would be used to fill the top of the house fill a yard area and a old Terrace trough I intended for yard and garden.  Spent money BADLY.  Seems the Garage got Good dirt Under it, the trough got the rocky worthless crap and now I am going to have to dig it ALL back up take to the ditch and replace with decent soil for a decent garden spot close in.

These show I am already at 12" down, likely another 4-6" to go to get to the clean dirt of the old terrace trough, will be excavating 30'wide likely at least 30' long and anywhere from 5-20" deep.  Makes me so mad as I told him what I expected and got this.  The dark brown is the Old Terrace slope.

Seems like you can't trust anyone anymore if they're under 50. I know I know, there's a lot of good people under 50, but it seems dang far and few between in my area.

If work wasn’t done to specs, don’t pay till it’s fixed to your specs. Had that problem awhile ago, wasn’t done right and was way over quoted price. Funny how when you owe them money they get down to business real quick.

Fella was Older than ME!!  Had been a Excavator for years and years, where his choice I SUSPECT was to make it fast and cheap not as discussed as that would take more time and effort.

I pay the price but will get it done as always do!!
