My 1718H electric deck lift quit working, all it does is blow the fuse when I try to raise the deck. What would cause this problem? Checked the wiring no bear spots were found. Can the motor be rebuilt or are new ones still available?

I think they are permanent magnet motors- I wonder if a starter rebuild shop could repair it.
Otherwise, Northern Tool has linear actuators, never had one so I don't know if they are any good, or if they are a direct replacement.
