Talk to Tony D (OK Tractor) and/or Tony C (Tonys Tractors). They both supply high quality hitches and are very helpful in assissting you to select one for your needs. Both advertise in the "Parts, etc" page of the forum

Give me a call or shop around my website. We carry the Cross brand, and the worksavers. Worksavers are way overpriced, but some folks really want them. I prefer the Cross and it's what I have used on my Wd, WD4, B, D14, D15 series II, and D17. They are made in Missouri, and very well built. Cross makes 2 that wll fit your D17. I would be happy to explain the differences. Just give me a call toll-free. JImD |

Depends on what you plan on using it for.If you have both 3pt and snap coupler equiptment you want something that can come on and off easy.If you only have 3pt. equiptment and plan on heavy use,get the higher priced bolted on version that cannot easily be taken on and off.I have seen several versions through several vendors.Jim D., Tony C.,Saginaw Hitches.Call around and these guys will answer all your questions.

I had a Worksaver on my D17, nice heavy unit but had to remove the drawbar. I sold both at a consignment sale & they were separated. Son-in-law bought the D17 back 18 months later with a different 3pt (homemade I'm sure) but alot more functional as the drawbar could be used without removing the 3 pt. We wouldn't have it any other way now HTH...Harvey

I like the Cross because you still have the factory drawbar. Your traction booster will work with the Cross.

We've had a Saginaw on ours for 5 years now. Works great. Still uses snap-coupler draw bar.

We have a Cross from Tony Carbaugh on our D-14, which as others have said, means we still have the drawbar available - and we use both so it's a nice set-up.

I put a Saginaw on my D-14 several years ago. It is a rugged unit. I was moving 1000# units of firewood with a 3 pt. fork attachment today. Don't have power steering so this operation takes the place of it. Sometimes need to brakes to steer. Bob@allisdowneast
