Drain the radiator and remove the lower radiator hose at least on one end to get the fan belt to go by it. You have to remove the lower radiator hose...no other way.

it is a good time to just replace the lower rad hose while you're at it.

How do you get it around the bottom pulley? My has a hand crank so there is no opening to slide the belt off..

The hand crank rod that goes through the steering gearbox has a spring on it. It should be about 1" away from pulley unless you push on the rod to engage it into the pulley. When you stop pushing the rod flies back to home 1" away.
