   Need info on adjustable arched axle with riveted wheels, I think I have seen pictures??    The spindles slide in or out.

I was told there are two of them. A narrow and a wide arch. Also was told if you wanted to change the spacing, you needed a different tie rod as they were not adjustable. I think they look neat.

The adjustable arched front axle was available prior to 1940.
Yes, there were 2 front axle lengths (38"-48" & 50"-60"). As mentioned, you needed to switch the tie rod for the corresponding spacing. The Parts Book shows 5 different tie rods available.
I am sure this helped prompt the change to design a more conventional adjustable front axle which did come out starting in 1940.
