Wow didn't know there was so many look-alike weights for WD & then to fit B's I'll have to go check my pile of weights to see if they are all the same numbers or if I might have some for B's Thanks for posting this Charlie !!

Is there some place that has the # for weights? Will I find it in the parts books. Trying to get things all written down in one place.

Engine weight question?
I have a 1948 B. Today I purchased a pair of engine weights at a farm auction that I believe to fit a B or C. Do I need a sleeve around the bolt in 2 of the holes? and Does a bevel indicate an older weight??? and does the bevel go up or down? Thanks, MCM

I believe the bevel was clearance for the B steering arm, so it would go on the bottom on the left side.
I don't think you can turn the weight upside down and still bolt it on???? Edited by CTuckerNWIL - 03 May 2015 at 4:50pm |

Thanks, that makes sense. None of the AC experts at the auction could help, never having seen a set before. I've not had a chance to jockey them into position yet. Had my workout for the day just carrying them to the truck. MCM

Will the WD/WD45 front donut weight fit on the inside of the rim? Is the center hole large enough to go over the wheel hub?

I have a set of engine weights on my C. A bolt is used on the front (If I recall correctly, it threads into the front plate and the weight slides over it) and a bolt goes into the side of the bell-housing which effectively locks the weight onto the engine.

The correct front B/C side weight front mount is a bolt with a bushing that fits the hole in the weight. A stack of about 10 Metric flat washers with a 3/8 hole makes a good bushing. OD is near perfect

Does anyone know why the change in pie weights from D-17 I &II to D-17 III & IV etc. I'm starting to wonder if it was function or cosmetic!! And has anyone ever Tried to stack the pie weights like the older WD weights' Also many, many early D-17's used the flat WD weights in the Midwest in my childhood. Thanks " Housemover"

Greetings! I'm new to this forum. My dad bought a WD in 1954 and I pretty much grew up riding that tractor. Never got over the fond memories associated with that tractor. I have a set of rear weights off a WD in my barn. Does anyone know the best way to sell them and approximately what they are worth?

I see in the link there are sectional weights shown for a D19/190 with the casting # AM 5052-2. I found some (12ea) sectional weights that look identical but have the casting # AM 5052-3. I have a few questions.
1. What the difference between a -2 and -3? 2. What do they weigh? 3. How many does it take to go around the rim? 4. What are they worth? Thanx, Chris

It’s been a LONG time since I put the engine weights on my C and another set on Dad’s B. But I remember using a carriage bolt & a short piece of 1/2” pipe for the bushing on the front mounts. Kip

I have these suitcase weights that I believe are for the 7000 series tractors. Please correct me if this is not correct.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
