My cousin recently acquired a D17, it sat in a barn unused since 1985, after just a tune-up kit and a carb. rebuild, we had it up and running like a top. Sitting in the same barn is a old (mid-50's) Silage Blower. My cousin is thinking about making the owner a offer on this too, hoping he might have similar luck with it.
I think it might be a 30L??? model. It has a model B power unit on it. It actually has electric start on it and the oil looks brand new on the dip stick, but have not tried to turn it over it. It has most of it's original paint and decals. It looks like it was always sheltered when not in use. The belt for the conveyor is missing. Can these still be easily and afford-ably found? I told my cousin if the engine turns over and the magneto has spark, it was probably worth 200 bucks tops but I was not for sure , so I'd ask on here for him. I figured the power unit alone might be worth the 200 in parts. |

Hmmm....No advice on this? I must have picked the least interesting or most difficult AC implement to ask questions about!

Jay, My opinion on value would be $200 to $300. Belting shouldn't be a problem to duplicate. I have a PTO, A-C Forage Blower. If you need any information on the belting, let me know. Jim
