I need your help. I just bought a front load AC manure spreader 110 in remarkably good condition but long to lovely restore it to poop flinging grandeur. Mechanically, it's pretty buff and all there. Floor could use a little love yet serviceable as is. Needs a little spot weld here and there, nothing much. Not molested otherwise. Restorers, winter's coming, I have the time. Tell me where I should start. Also, any manuals/decal sources out there?I love this little piece of equipment and want to do it justice. Didn't pay much and am willing to give it the full-on treatment. Poop spreading is high art!

Well here is a poor picture of mine, but the only picture on my computer. I replaced all the wood in mine and also had a bunch of replacement metal parts made for ones that were rusted bad, or severely bent etc. Also had all the beaters out and straightened all of them. Hope this helps. Don't be afraid to ask me questions about it. I restored it in 2003.

I have 2 of the 110's, both non-restored but would be operable if I needed to use them. I think they are a pretty neat little piece of equipment. They are (at least one of them, anyhow) on my list of things to be restored, but there are several things ahead of them on the list. As far as help for you on the restoration, a year or two ago, that was a guy here on the forum that restored a regular (not a 110) spreader, and posted pictures as he went. If he catches this post, he could probably give you lots of pointers. I can't remember his user name on here. His spreader turned out way too nice to haul manure in. Darrel

Thanks. As for the decals, Lyle Wacker has them. The side decals are a 2 piece decal. You lay the white down first, and then the black on top of it. Somewhat of a trick.

A mystery related to this 110 manure spreader that I hope someone can solve. I suspect this is an early model. Instead of the peaked roof, it angles up but is flat on top and only has the flip up opening for the gearing, otherwise the front is continuous sheet metal. It also has just 2 augers or turbines in the very front, not 3. In front of those are the usual toothed beaters. The only serial number (?) I can find on it is a welded plate on the right lower channel stamped R S 031. The right side of the gear housing had a diamond AC, now goe. Across the front is a faded Allis-Chalmers in white. The left side of the housing has, in white, Allis-Chalmers Manure Spreader, then a line with an oval around 110. So, it's got to be a 110 but I've not seen one that looks exactly like it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Here is a picture of mine at the HCOP in August. I did not restore it, but I feel fortunate that the Boman family trusted me to care for it after there father Jerry passed away. This spreader was featured in one of the Allis Connection news letters about 10 years ago.
