Did anyone here make it to the AC Dealer auction in Iowa this weekend? Just curious what you guys thought and maybe some prices. Was there a lot of good parts on Saturday? What did the signs look like.

If you get on Sullivanauctioneers.com in the proxy bid section, you can look up the results for Friday. Some of the parts tractors look like they sold somewhat reasonable. I don;t know I wasn't there, and pictures can be deceiving. If anyone can post what the signs brought on Saturday, I sure would appreciate it.

The sign on saturday brought $3000. Lots of reasonably priced parts. i spent about $400 bucks and came home with two truck loads of parts. It was a pretty cool sale 25 hay racks of NOS parts including everything you can imagine all the way back even before the D series parts cans.

The gas 190 with loader only brought $1500. It is only worth $400 more than a JD B ready for the scrap yard? The $2700 D14 must have had $1000 in the tool box.

The 185 without the hood went for $2,900. The one with a hood went for $2,000. I will miss the good folks at the Hervey dealership.

I think Fred has the sign market covered on the east coast. He can give you an idea of value.

This was a neat sale and i think the auctioneer did a good job. They kept on moving. The parts did go at a reasonable price. I brought home a pickup load. I also met a few fellow forum members. Here is picture of what followed me home. Matt

I would have liked to been at the sale on saturday for any gleaner parts, but my daughter was in a high school play this weekend. So, family duty called. I would not have missed her play for anything. Were there any gleaner parts available? K, K2, F, F2, or F3 model parts?

Eric, We came home with a truck load of belts...most of them combine belts. Let me know if you are looking for a particular number. Also, wanted to come home with the sign but a little rich for my blood.

I think there was a D17D that ran but was listed as a parts machine. What did that bring? |

Baba8070 & MattJ, thanks for the reply. I have a couple of gleaner K2 machines. One is a gas GM250 & one is diesel 433T. Mainly, I am interested in any bearings, pulleys, sprockets, belts, shafts, separator fan, elevator-return chains/paddles, and any other items that would fit the K2. They are both 1978 longbacks. Some of their items from the model K, F, F2, & F3 also fit the K2 model. If I get some time this week, I will reply with a list of parts numbers for comparisons. And if you're any of it crosses with what you have, we can go from there if interested?
BTW - nice AC sign you bought there, Babs8070. My wife also got a new kitchen a fews years back which can account for many years of AC accumulation, not to mention the many great home-cooked meals. My wife is great. She painted my bathroom (utility bath) in AC decor. There is a previous post on here somewhere? I got some wallpaper border from someone on this site.

It was 3 brothers and there dad that ran it. The one brother died in the store in November and there dad past in Dec. The other to decided that was enough and decided to move on to other things. Probably be hard to deal with I could tell it was for the one brother. I wish them the best . They were and are great guys and ran a good business.
I know I will miss them.
